No one does marketing like Red Bull.

For their latest stunt, the Anglo-Austrian team took the championship-winning F1 car for a spin through casinos in Las Vegas ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

As you do.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is still a few weeks away.

Mind you, Oracle Red Bull Racing’s CEO Christian Racer and F1 driver Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez still wanted to show up ahead of time to get acquainted with the location.

The F1 race will take place around a street circuit.

However, Red Bull decided to take it one step further by driving an F1 car inside a casino.

The impromptu casino drive is part of a longer film titled ‘Vamous, Vegas!’

The clip was filmed at the Wynn Plaza hotel and aside from the Checo Pérez and Christian Horner, it also stars Red Bull drivers Emelia Hartford and Bryce Menzies, and American singer Wayne Newton.

The film ends with what is probably a nod to the iconic film The Hangover.

Remember the scene where the guys discover one of their beds somehow accidentally ended up on the roof of the casino?

Yep, in the Red Bull film, it’s an F1 car that somehow ends up on the roof.

About the Las Vegas Grand Prix

The Las Vegas Grand Prix – scheduled for November 18 – will mark Formula One’s return to Sin City for the first time in over 40 years.

The last time F1 was in Vegas was in 1982.

It was the sixteenth and final race of the season and it was a star-studded event.

Alain Prost, Mario Andretti, Niki Lauda and Nigel Mansell – just to name a few – competed for what was then called the ‘Caesar’s Palace Grand Prix’.

The name is spot on, when you think about it, considering the vast majority of Las Vegas hotels that existed back then are now gone, but the Caesar’s Palace is one of the few that are still standing.

Formula One created a brand-new race track for the 2023 event.

The 17-corner, 3,803-mile circuit will take drivers past the MSG Sphere, along the world famous ‘Strip’ (Las Vegas Boulevard), on to Harmon Avenue and across the finish line.

It’s a 50-lap event, and each should take around one minute and 30 seconds to complete.
